Overview

Smith Gardner, Inc., an engineering firm based in Raleigh, NC, specializes in the solid waste industry. Our engagement began with the goal of clarifying and strengthening their brand message—clearly articulating their services and core values to better differentiate them in a competitive market. This partnership has since evolved to include updates to their brand guidelines, PowerPoint and proposal templates, recruitment materials, and an ongoing website refresh to align all touchpoints with the newly defined brand identity.

Our engagement with Smith Gardner began with an in-depth brand and competitive audit, including internal interviews to uncover the company's core strengths. The research revealed that their key differentiator is their people—experts deeply committed to their field. From this insight, we developed the brand messaging platform "We’re All In", built on three strategic pillars: All In on Solid Waste, All In on Partnership, and All In on Legacy. This messaging bridges their technical expertise with a strong, values-driven company culture.

The Final Deliverables consisted of: comprehensive branding and messaging development, brand application, updated brand guidelines, an evolved color palette, a PowerPoint template, redesigned proposal materials, and recruitment collateral including two banners, a recruitment video, and email templates.

Future Deliverables consist of: Updating their website update to reflect the refreshed brand and newly created assets.
